Last night, we took a break from our event production schedule to head to the Currier Gallery of Art in Manchester, NH, to attend the Black Lives Matter NH Awards. The annual event celebrates the amazing voices in the Granite State working to uplift BIPOC, Disabled, and LGBTQIA+ voices and representation. One of whom you may recognize… our founder, Journee LaFond.

They’d probably be a little embarrassed we’re sharing the video here, but their speech brings into sharp focus what we’re trying to do with this festival. To uplift voices, share community, and come together to make great things. We hope you’ll join us June 7-9, where we’ll be able to take what’s outlined in this speech and put it into practice.
